Here on the lush Big Island of Hawaiʻi, Medicine Mama begins where it always has—in the soil. We grow many of the botanicals we use ourselves, tending them organically beneath the Hawaiian sun and allowing each plant to become part of a story that eventually finds its way into a jar or bottle made by hand.

For more than three decades, I have studied herbs, grown them, worked with them, and learned from them. Medicine Mama grew from that relationship with the natural world and from a simple belief: what we put on our skin should be made with the same thoughtfulness we bring to what we put into our bodies.

From botanical oils and nourishing facial care to gentle creations for mothers and babies, each formula has its own purpose and its own story. Some have been part of Medicine Mama for many years; others were born from a need, an inspiration, or something growing just outside our door.

Living surrounded by the Pacific has also shaped the way we create. Our Love the Reef collection grew from a desire to care for our skin while remaining mindful of the extraordinary ocean ecosystem we are fortunate enough to call home.
